HCC – Higher Calling Conference

SARAH SONG

Sharon Song came to the United States in 1972 and grew up in a pastor’s family. Following her parents’ example, all six siblings entered full-time ministry. In August 1981, while working as a registered nurse, Sharon personally encountered Jesus Christ, who called her to serve the next generation in the United States.
She served with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) for 22 years as a full-time staff member and has been serving with SEED International Mission for the past 18 years. Sharon has been married for 37 years and is blessed with two married children, Joy and Danny, and one granddaughter.
Through her marriage and ministry experiences, God opened her eyes to the pain and suffering within families. This led her to pursue counseling studies at a biblical seminary and attend Discipleship Training School (DTS) through Youth With A Mission (YWAM). God has called her to restore and rebuild the next generation through His Word.
For the past 15 years, Sharon has led The Joshua Project for Youth, a ministry based in Virginia. Today, God is leading her to serve multi-ethnic churches in Fairfax, VA—including Vietnamese, Indian, and Hispanic congregations.
Her life mission is summarized in four words: Win, Build, Train, and Send.

INNER HEALING

12/18 & 12/19

Dean Sherman once said, “You are the sum total of all the relationships you’ve had.” In this fallen world, the sins of others have brought pain and suffering to me; and because of my own sin—whether you realize it or not—I have caused pain and suffering to others as well. People with wounded, victimized hearts often continue
to hurt others.
Jeremiah 17:9 says that our hearts are deceitful. Over the course of our lives, we develop defense mechanisms to protect ourselves. These childlike responses often surface when we face painful situations. But only through God’s truth can we be set free and live a victorious
life.

International Internship with SOON Movement (INT INT)

12/18

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.” Genesis 12:2 God is on a mission. His desire is that all nations would come to know His love through His Son, Jesus Christ. And you are God’s chosen vessel to reveal Himself to the world! In this seminar, you will learn about SOON Movement Global’s International Internship in which you will spend one to two years serving college students in a different country. Learn a new language, be immersed in a new culture, and share about Jesus to people who haven’t even heard of His name. Be blessed to be a blessing to the nations. Hear war stories from staff members who have spent time on our overseas internship, and learn more about the application process.

Summer Missions with SOON Movement Global

12/19

Did you know that there are 3.2 billion people in the world who have never heard of the name of Jesus? And the great majority will never even have the opportunity, unless someone takes the Gospel to them. As a college student, you have two great advantages: the ability to speak English, and a summer vacation. God desires to involve you in reaching people for Him across the globe. What you consider to be a mundane advantage can be used for something extraordinary – will you say yes to Him? Come to this seminar to learn more about SOON Movement Global’s three week Summer Mission program and to hear stories of how God has been moving in the world.
